Every year, the Village Closet donation center keeps thousands of pounds of baby gear out of landfills. Items in great condition are made available to local families for free, while clothing and other textiles that aren’t up to our standards are responsibly repurposed through our partnership with The Hartsprings Foundation. 

This spring we have an ambitious goal to collect and repurpose 5,000 pounds of textiles between January 1 and April 22, 2024 – Earth Day!

Student clubs, community groups, and families from across Western Mass will help by bagging up their not-quite-giftable clothing and textiles and dropping them at the Village Closet.

YOU can help by encouraging this collection with a PLEDGE of just pennies per pound. Your donation will go straight to the Village Closet program, which last year provided over $500,000 in free children’s clothing and supplies to over 4,000 local families.
