Village Closet- Community Specialist

This part-time, on-site role is at It Takes a Village (Village Closet location) in Huntington, MA. The Village Closet team is responsible for assisting clients, organizing inventory, processing intake forms, and maintaining an organized and welcoming environment.

The candidate needs to have availability to work Sundays and Mondays 9:00am-2:30pm, Tuesdays from 2:00-7:30pm, and other weekdays during school hours.

Approximately: 15-20 hours a week

Hourly Wage: $18 an hour

Relevant Skills:

Customer service experience
Strong organizational & multitasking abilities
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively on a team
Passion for supporting the community & helping others
Ability to communicate in multiple languages is highly preferred (e.g., Spanish, Haitian Creole or others)

Must have reliable transportation to work. Students are encouraged to apply for work during non-school hours.

Administrative Assistant:

This on-site position supports the client-facing programs, executive director, fundraising, and outreach. The Administrative Assistant works on organizational projects to ensure accurate record-keeping and consistent and efficient communication with clients, staff, volunteers, and donors.

Schedule: 15-20 hours per week.

Required skills:

Strong organizational & multitasking abilities within a high-paced environment
High proficiency with Microsoft office, Google Workspace, Quickbooks and social media platforms. and ability to learn new programs quickly
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
