Village Closet Basic Needs Center

“This is an amazing place for anyone and everyone to come if they need a helping hand.”

The Village Closet is the largest family basic needs program in Western Massachusetts. We offer an extensive assortment of baby supplies, clothing from newborn to adult, diapers, hygiene products, safety gear such as car seats and safe sleep options, and more. 

Our program is available to all families, there are no income or residency requirements.

We have free parking at the Village Closet.

If the parking lot is FULL, please use street parking, or park at the Huntington Public Library across the street.

*Parking is not permitted in the Verizon Lot. 

Public Shopping Hours:

  • Sunday: 11am–2pm
  • Monday: 11am–2pm
  • Tuesday: 4:30pm–7pm

    We are closed on all major holidays & follow Gateway Regional School District for inclement weather related closures.

    We accept donations during open hours

    Please do not leave donations outside.

    We can only accept items that are CLEAN and in great condition

    If you would not give it as a gift, please do NOT donate it. Quality=dignity, and all children deserve wonderful things. Click here to find a list of the items we CANNOT accept.
